Writing for Communication, Not for Art’s Sake

I don’t write for the sake of it.  I write to express thoughts or send messages.  I write to communicate.

I get it that there are writers who add beauty into our world.  Like artists, they write masterpieces of poetry & prose.  Admirers read their poems and stories with gusto, more so if the text is eloquent.  Some would even seek the original manuscripts of great writers so they could admire the strokes and penmanship which added beauty to the content.

I do admire the art of the written word.  But I don’t write for that purpose.

Writing for me is a skill—a means to an end.  I had been developing that skill to improve how I communicate and get my messages across.

I write not to add beauty, but to offer ideas to make the world a more productive place.

And that is why I write.

Since I started writing in 2019, I've written personal insights about supply chains, operations management, & industrial engineering. I have also delved in topics that cover how we deal with people, property, and service providers. My mission is to boost productivity via the problem-solving process, i.e., asking questions, developing criteria, exploring ideas.
